Sculptures painted

I finally got around to painting a couple of my sculptures. They still need to be touched up with dullcote and glosscote. You can see the concept sketches in this post.

I might cast this one in resin someday to get a translucent look that matches my concept art more closely.

Hi Marc, nice volumes and details on these. I really like the soft nose cartilage detail as seen on a1_painted2. I also liked the characterisation ideas you had going on behind each figures of the alien band. Cheers!

Bryan: Thanks!

Powell: Thank you. I had fun sculpting them.

Laurent: I haven't done much organic sculpture before,(my training is in car design) so it was fun to translate my drawings into 3D.

Excellent modeling and painting! Scary, but really cool :) I like your "Aquatic creature" very much! Bravo, keep up the good work!

Very nice sculpts. I like the shapes and overall impact of the sculpts more than the concepts, although they are impressive as well. Great work.

awesome! How long would you estimate each of these took you to complete?

Thanks! Hmmm, I am not sure exactly how long since I did these in my free time and didn't really keep track. I would guess about 8 hours for each sculpt and about an hour to paint.
